The 46th EAIR Cork Forum on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd August 2024 will be hosted at the University’s Western Gateway building, which is within walking distance of several major hotels and of the city centre. The Western Gateway Building is number 90 on the linked Campus Map (which can be downloaded as a pdf). The EAIR Welcome Reception will take place in the Aula Maxima, Main Quadrangle, UCC commencing at 6pm on Wednesday 21st August.
UCC is a short walk from the heart of Cork’s vibrant city centre. When you are here, do make time to walk around the university’s beautiful campus and consider extending your stay and venturing further afield following the Forum to sample some of our world-famous hospitality.
Cork is home to a historic food market, museums and plenty of cafes, restaurants, and lively pubs. The city is located on Ireland’s south coast the starting point of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Considered one of the friendliest cities in the world, as rated by Conde Nast Traveller in 2018 and according to the Lonely Planet “all that is good about Ireland can be found in Cork”!

University Accommodation
A small number of rooms are available in the University’s brand-new Crow’s Nest student accommodation complex, which is recently opened together with newly refurbished rooms in Victoria Mills. Both these complexes are within 5-10minutes walk of the Western Gateway Building where the EAIR Forum is taking place from 21st – 23rd August 2024.

Hotel Accommodation – The River Lee Hotel
Special Hotel Rates – You are advised to book your accommodation at the earliest opportunity to avail of the special rates quoted below
The River Lee Hotel in Cork City (within 10-15 minutes walking distance of the conference venue in the Western Gateway Building, UCC) have limited availability of rooms at a reduced rate for conference delegates.
The River Lee offers a preferential rate to EAIR delegates of €225.00 B&B per room, per night based on single occupancy.
